Malaysia to Thailand (1st Destination - Krabi Island)

Blackwind Adventure Team have organised a 4x4 Overland Tour from Malaysia to Ayuthaya, Thailand.
The 10 days trip will require the team to travel approximately 4,100 km with 22 participants and  6 4x4 vehicles.

Departure from Malaysia on midnight 12 February 2010, we reached at Malaysian border, Bukit Kayu Hitam at approximately 11.00 in the afternoon after traveling for more than 9 hours.

After going a thorough checked at Malaysian and Thailand immigration offices,  the team continue the journey and our first check point is Krabi, Thailand. We reached Krabi towns on midnight and have to travel by boat to Koh Klang village, a fisherman island in Krabi. It took us 20 minutes to reach the village island. Koh Klang village is one of the fisherman village which survived from tsunami strikes in year 2004.

At the island we were welcomed by the villagers with a kampung's cooking style menu for our midnight dinner. After traveling for almost 880 km within 22 hours, we felt very exhausted and we just want to have our sleep at the homestay.

The next morning, the villagers have gathered to see our demonstrations such Silat (Malay traditional martial arts), kompang and "Marhaban" as we have planned for them. In the afternoon, we have a boat tour along the island to understand more about the Koh Klang Village.

Our next destinations are Phuket Island and Ranong.
